Sandra F. Farmer, age 71, of Edwardsville, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville.

She was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Alton, the daughter of the late Robert N. and Eva Merle Davis Forshaw.
She is survived by two sons: Carl "Robbie" Farmer of Edwardsville and Kevin Farmer of Worden; two daughters: Vickie Farmer of Edwardsville and Susie McMahan of Staunton; one brother: Gary Forshaw of Edwardsville and three grandchildren: Nichole (Joshua) Martin of St. Louis, Rick McMahan Jr. of edwardsville and Alyssa (Kyle) Kovarik of Staunton.
She was formerly married to Carl D. Farmer of Glen Carbon.

She worked as an operator at Shell Oil for 16 years. She owned and operated This Is It Lounge in Troy for many years and was a laborer at Granite City Steel for seven years.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the funeral home with Mike Kovarik officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
Memorials are suggested to Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House or the American Diabetes Association .
