Richard Lee Buckley

Richard Lee Buckley, 76, of Moro, IL passed away at home on Thursday, September 17, 2026 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on July 12, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Harry and Freda Buckley. He married Dora (Catalano/Watsek) Buckley in May 1991. Richard served in the Navy on the USS Midway and was a long-time truck driver and owner of Richard L Buckley Hauling. He enjoyed working on his classic Chevy, fishing, country music, and KFC. He is survived by his wife Dora, children Valerie Buckley, and Rachel (Jason) Johnson and siblings Katherine, Dennis, and Janet. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harry.

 Visitation will be held on September 20, 2026, from 2pm to 6pm at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. A private burial will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siteman Cancer Center.
