In loving memory of Nancy J. Rericha (nee Hoffmeister).

She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, nurturing grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was born October 1, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Her life was defined by her unwavering love and commitment to her family. In 1957, she joined hands in marriage with her loving husband, Frank Rericha. Together they embarked on a journey filled with love, shared dreams and cherished memories that spanned over 66 years.

She was the proud mother of five children: Tina (Ron) Jackson, Bill (Dot), Frank Mike (Chris) Rericha, Jr., Beverly (Scott) Meyer and Jean (David) Bohannan. Her nurturing spirit and love enriched the lives of her children. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she embraced the roles of grandmother and great-grandmother with open arms. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Amie, Kim (David), Scott (Andrea), Rachel (Jordan), Yvonne, Tristan, James (Katie), Jennifer, Shawn (Michelle), Chad (Cassie), Evan, Ryan (Ashton), and Caroline. Her memory will forever live on in her great-grandchildren: Klayton (Shanelle), Kallie, Julie, Jacob, Jasper, Tobias, Elliot, Gideon, Franklynn, Emalee, Lawson, Tate, Gavin, Daniel, Michael and Johnathan.

She was an accomplished nurse and passionate quilter. Her dedication to caring for others and her creative spirit left a lasting impact on those she touched. She was a life-time member of Sokol and CSA. Her loyalty to these organizations demonstrated her strong sense of community and her desire to contribute to the well-being of those around her showcasing her dedication to physical fitness, cultural heritage and fostering connections with others. Her contributions to these organizations will be remembered and appreciated by her fellow members and the community she served. 

Memorial service will be held to honor her life and legacy at the American Czech Educational Center, 4690 Lansdowne Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, 63116. Visitation 1 p.m. until service time at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023.
