Michael Everett Carney, 62, of Pontoon Beach, Ill., born June 16, 1951, in Granite City, Ill., passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, in Pontoon Beach, Ill.

Mr. Carney served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was a driver for Conoco Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Carney; and a brother, Dane R. Carney.

Surviving are his wife, Doris B., nee Rigsby, Carney of Granite City, Ill.; a daughter, Angela Carney of Granite City, Ill.; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Carney Jr. of Hardin, Ill., and Joseph (Amanda) Carney of Granite City, Ill.; four grandchildren, Tyler, Heather and Brooke Carney, and Lucas Yarbrough; a sister, Darla (Dennis) Harper of Bethalto, Ill.; and a brother, Christopher (Denise) Carney of Moro, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at New Christian Fellowship, 2301 Orville, Granite City, Ill. 62040.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the church, with Rev. Earl Hagy officiating. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
