Lynette J. Noeltner

Lynette J. Noeltner, 96, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Mercy South. She was born on June 8, 1927, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late George and Edna (Poos) Rinkel. She married Henry Noeltner on April 6, 1948, in St. Jacob, Illinois, and he preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Patricia and Ed Tosh of Waterloo, Illinois, three granddaughters: Lena (Jeff) Gilman of Gilbert, Arizona, Katie Tosh of San Diego, California, Megan (Jeff) Green of Waterloo, five great grandchildren: Cali Brumit, Ava Brumit, Emma Gilman, Charlotte Gilman, Vivienne Gilman, a brother and sister in law: Paul and Vicki Rinkel of Maryville, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Lynette was employed as a clerk at the Bank of Edwardsville prior to going to work as a secretary at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Edwardsville from 1965 to 1983. Adevout Catholic, Lynette loved playing bingo, bowling, quilting, pinochle, was active with the Edwardsville Senior Citizens, and was member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Edwardsville American Legion Post 199.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2203, at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Memorials are suggested to Catholic Charities and will be accepted at the funeral home.
