Sedabres

In Loving Memory of
Joshua S. Sedabres

Joshua S. Sedabres, 41, of Edwardsville, Illinois, died with his family by his side on January 30, 2021.

He was born on September 24, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri to Stephen R. Sedabres and Rebecca F.
Sedabres nee Reeder. He previously resided in Granite City, Illinois.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, Marcie Sedabres nee Noud, for 16 years and have two children, Eleanor (Ella) and Collin Sedabres.

Josh was preceded in death by his father Steve, father-in-law A.H. “Tim” Noud, and grandparents George Sedabres Sr., Alma Sedabres Becerra, Ralph F. Reeder Sr., and Peggy Ann Reeder nee Smith.
Josh is survived by his wife and children, his mother, his brother Jacob Sedabres, sister Anna Sedabres, and her son Eric Lawson Jr.. In addition, Josh was loved by his enormous family including his mother-in-law, Josie Noud nee Muir; brothers-in-law Terry Noud and his children Blake and Loewy Noud; Timothy and Amber Noud and their children Ben, Natalie, and Nicholas Noud; and Charles and Tracy Noud and their son Miles Noud. He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Josh graduated from Granite City Sr. High School in 1997. He later attended the University of Illinois and earned a bachelors degree from Western Governors University. He was previously employed by Argosy Casino and was currently serving as an IT specialist for the Madison County. Josh was loved by every person he met. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone in the room laugh. A true “computer nerd,” he loved all things technology, especially gaming with his son. He loved golf and once became inches from a hole in one and had the opportunity to work at the PGA Championship. He also truly enjoyed drinking a cold beer with his countless friends and family.

A visitation will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Granite City on Friday, February 5 from 5-7 PM. A private family service will follow. There will be a QR code to scan at the visitation to view a live stream of the service. As much as we would love for all of Josh’s friends and family to attend the service, it is not possible due to COVID precautions. During the visitation, COVID restrictions will be followed. Masks will be required and not provided. Please maintain social distancing and keep the line moving.

Josh was a strong believer in organ donation and even had the organ donor license plates on his car. Please check to see if you are an organ donor. If you are not, please consider signing up in Josh’s honor.

Flowers will not be permitted in the church due to COVID regulations. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established through Busey Bank for the Sedabres children.
