Janet Ann Rose  80 of Edwardsville passed December 1 2018 at Barnes Hospital St. Louis, Mo.

Born February 13, 1938 in E St. Louis daughter of the late Jerry and Dorothy nee Miller Kane.

She was married to Robert McGillian in 1960 and he passed in 2002. 

She was a teacher, assistant principal and principal in Edwardsville Dist. 7 and principal at St. Mary’s School in Edwardsville.

Survived by her children Dorothy (Steven) Hummel of Edwardsville, Erin (Simon) Driver of Dallas Texas and Gene (JAMIE) McGillian of Dobbs Ferry NY

Grandchildren Ted Hummel, Kate Hummel, Julian Szablowski, Bailey McGillian and Devan McGillian. Sisters Jo Kathmann of Collinsville and Jeanne Kane of Naples Fl. 

Brother Jerry (Mary) Kane of Edwardsville.

Preceded by a sister Jennifer Farrow

Visitation at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home Edwardsville, Il December 5, 2018 4-8 PM

Memorial Mass December 6, 2018 12:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Church Edwardsville, Il. where she was a long time member

Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery Belleville, IL
