James Alvin Scherrills

James Alvin Scherrills 79 of Granite City passed away on November 19, 2020. Born April 28, 1941, son of the late Leon and Hazel (Cahill) Scherrills. Married Patricia Stimac on January 22, 1966. She preceded him in death. Survived by two daughters Amy (Patrick Rasp) Ohlendorf and Beth (Phillippe) Welsh, three grandchildren Trevor and Jillian Welsh and Emily Ohlendorf, sister-in-law Delores Brown and nephew Thad (Valerie) Brown. Jim served in the Army, studied computer programming, and was employed by Granite City Steel. He played softball and tennis and bowled but he loved to golf. He was always watching baseball, hockey, football, or golf.
