His life was defined by his unwavering love and commitment to his family. In 1957, he joined hands in marriage with his loving wife, Nancy J. Dad was proud of his 40 years of combined service in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves serving in WWII. He retired March 3, 1982, as a Chief Hull Maintenance Technician. He dedicated his life to various organizations as a life-time member of Sokol and CSA Fraternal Life, served as past Sokol camp committee chairman and carpenter’s union/retirees.  He had a fondness for lemon Merigue pie, travel and telling a good tale.

Private family interment service will be April 8, 2024, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Followed by a celebration Monday, April 8, 2024, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the American Czech Educational Center, 4690 Lansdowne Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, 63116.

In lieu of flowers, donations requested for Sokol Camp, 4690 Lansdown Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, 63116 or the American Czech Educational Center, 4690 Lansdowne Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, 63116.
